Resort help! Another “SSR or OKW”, but for a different reason

Guys, you’re the only ones who can help me now!
I’ve scoured both resort threads but can’t come up with an answer of my own so here goes!
When I go to Disney next month, I’m booking 3 rooms with a bounce back offer for May 2020.
I need a 2bd villa and 2 studios. To be honest, both OKW and SSR look beautiful to me. I guess if I had to give anyone an edge it would be SSR due to the studios having the pull out sofa because there is just one couple in each studio and the sofa would be a better room set up. And maybe QS options seem better in SSR also. But that’s just going by what I’ve read (and read and read).
My real concern is- is there a better chance of having all 3 rooms near each other at one resort over the other? We don’t need to be right next door or anything, just in the same building I could live with. We pretty much stick together on vacation and leaving together, excited about the day on the way to the bus stop. and coming back chatting about the day are just important to me. Part of the magic :)
If there’s a certain location in each resort that my chances would be better, let me know. I will make sure the reservations are linked, which has worked very well in the past. Just gave never gone the DVC route before.
Thanks for any help!

Based on the sheer size of the resort, SSR would have the best odds of having all rooms in the same building. Each of the 18 buildings at SSR are identical when it comes to number and size of rooms.

OKW is the 2nd largest of the DVC resorts at WDW (761 max rooms vs. 1260 max at SSR). There are 49 buildings at OKW and the number of rooms in each building varies.

Sounds like a large group, all things being equal I would vote SSR just so everyone has the option of Disney Springs right next door.

At OKW, the majority of studios are located at the ends of the building. Two bedroom villas may take up one of those studios if it is a lockoff. So with two studios and a two bedroom villa, you might not even be in the same building or the two studios could be at the opposite ends of the building with the two bedroom somewhere in between. Are you booking on points or paying cash directly to Disney?

Plus, there are only three buildings with elevators. So the odds of getting three villas in one of those three buildings could be even more difficult. If you have people who can't do stairs or you are hauling stroller and stuff up the stairs, that can get old.

Probably not what you are looking for, but have you looked into the Treehouse Villas? They look HUGE!

Can't answer your question, but I always tell people to stay at OKW - it is just beautiful. We love the 2BR

A Treehouse Villa is basically a 2 1/2 bedroom villa. The 3rd bedroom is small and has bunkbeds.

And there is no king sized bed in the THV, just two queen, two bunks, queen sleeper and twin sleeper.
