Resort fees

$25 / day fee for smiling CMs - for that fee you'll be given a special button that will entitle you to friendly smiling CMs - everyone without buttons just move along....

$17.99 fee for taking our survey about fees. $22.99 if you'd like the option to respond negatively to said fees.

I'd recommend a pricing structure similar to airlines. FastPass+ reservations would still be free, but:
  • $1.50 change fee to move a FastPass+ reservation to a different time
  • $2.00 fee for same-day standby to board each attraction
  • Fees are waived for Elite Status Guests who purchase a VIP Tour or who stay in a Disney hotel more than 25 nights per year
Plus, in order to give guests the ultimate in choice, some magical services are now optional:
  • $5.00 to use your own stroller in the park. But the good news: simply show your receipt and you don't have to pay again if you hop to a different park on the same day during regular operating hours*
  • $16.99/person surcharge to remain in a park during premium evening spectaculars and shows (Fantasmic, Wishes, Illuminations, MSEP, Rivers of Light, etc).
    • Platinum AP holders enjoy a 10% discount on select nights!
    • Or add the "Stay Late and Play!" package to any Magic Your Way ticket for just $55.00 for your whole visit*
    • Surcharge does not apply if you have a valid dining reservation at a table service restaurant
  • Discounted bus, boat, and monorail fares for on-site guests, senior citizens and active duty military. Just $1.80 per boarding. Exact change or Magic Band only please.
  • $50/day "Florida Fun and More!" offsite fee. Enjoy the flexibility to leave the property to visit Universal or other area attractions!

*Excludes special ticketed events for which a separate admission price is charged. Subject to capacity restrictions. Tax not included.

  • $5 charge to not sit in the front row at PoTC. (Unless, of course, you like to get wet, in which case they will charge you $5 for the benefit of a front row seat.)
  • Facing backward on the People Mover is free. A forward facing seat will cost you $3.
  • ADRs during prime dinner hours of 5:30-7:30 will be assessed a $10 fee per reservation.
  • 3D glasses will no longer be loaned out for free for each show. Instead, you will be able to buy a pair for $15 to use all day.
They will be RFID enabled 3D glasses that only work for 24 hours after paid admission. :cool2:

I am aware of that but they of course can reinstate towel animals with a nominal charge..

I am wondering if they are going to charge me a Stalking Fee as I try to figure this ROL thing out for April - argh! And will it be hourly or per stalk? Will I get a refund if I see Donald or Stitch?

I filled out the survey they sent me yesterday - mine had nothing to do with resort fees, it was more about DME and the website, etc.

So this morning, they sent me an email saying, "Come back for more Walt Disney World Magic! Here's a great way to experience the magic again!" They want me to come back this April! Ahem, I already am - here I am, over here! Trying to nail down plans for a trip that's in a couple of weeks!

I'm really shocked they haven't implemented their own version of the paid dining sniping sites yet.

Rumors are already circulating about digital ticket books.

That raises so many ideas.

Can you imagine a family visiting the parks, the 14 and 16 year olds branch out on their own to enjoy TOT, RNRC, attractions mom, dad and younger sibs aren't interested in. Under the digital ticket books lines are greatly reduced because people either ride the one time allotted with their "books" or possibly decide to re-ride that particular favorite, knowing the extra ride will be charged via their magic band to their credit card. You need to enable the credit authorization to everyone's band in your party if this option will ever be used at all, by anyone in your party at anytime during your visit. 14 & 16 year old don't clearly understand how the ticketing allotments work, hasn't occurred to mom and dad to explain this item in all of the pre-planning, and 14 & 16 year old have a great time bouncing on and off their favorite attractions while the rest of the family is chilling back at the pool.

That bill won't be pretty.

$10 right to meet the characters pass
$15 extra for a right to take a picture
$20 extra for an autograph
$59.95 extra for interaction with the characters. All other lesser priced packages are not permitted to any interaction just a quick hello, picture or autograph, depending on which package you bought. ;)

This is all so sad.

Disney is destroying the magic. Do they realize it? Do they care?
