Currently have a deluxe room booked at both PBR ($209) and HRH ($224). We stated at HRH in a standard room last year and the kids loved the resort. This year I booked PBR because it was cheaper and I went up to the deluxe room for a little extra space--is it really worth the $60-$80 price difference to go with a deluxe room. And, should I stay with PBR or go back to HRH? We'll only be there for 1 night (possibly 2) and the walk from Hard Rock was so nice last year. I can't decide what to do. FWIW, the kids are 11, 8 and 5--birthday is check-in day!)

HELP!!!

The kids will enjoy the PBH just as much. The short walk to/from the parks is nice, but the PBH has bigger rooms and the bathroom is huge. The PBH also has a slide at their pool. One night is not enough, I'd stay in the PBH at the lower rate and go for 2 nights.

Since you stayed at HRH last time give PBH a try for comparison. I prefer the dlx's at both hotels but for one night it doesnt much matter. Save the $ and have a nice dinner. The beds are the same, just no pullout. PBH is a beautiful property if you do decide to stay there I hope you love it.

Looks like PBR is not available for the 2nd night at the APH rate. I can get both nights in a standard room at HRH for $363. Now some additional rooms at RPR have opened up as well, so we could stay there for $318 for 2 nights. Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!!!

The deluxe room at the HRH feels much bigger than the deluxe room at the PBH. The major difference with the PBH is the size of the bathroom. I would go with the HRH with three kids. There is more open floor space. The standard rooms at the RPR is much small than the deluxe rooms at the HRH.

RPR 335 square feet
HRH 375 square feet Deluxe 500 s.f.
PBH 463 square feet Deluxe 490 s.f.

A room at the RPR seems like a normal hotel room in terms of size, it's small. You don't notice it once you are there because most people lay on the beds watching TV and you get used to it. The pros of the RPR are the reduced room rates, and the huge pool which has lots of action (volleyball, basketball, ship play area).

You can't go wrong with any of the hotels you choose. If price is the issue then maybe you should try the RPR so you can see what it's like. Then next year you can try the PBH. Once you go there you'll be spoiled with the huge room size.
