I have a trip planned for Nov. 7th-12th at AOA (Little mermaid room) if it does not reopen on time I am assuming they will offer POP. If I choose not to go there will they offer other resorts at a discounted price?
I just had my resort stay changed for a second time and was told I would recieve the GC just prior to my stay. I had another trip that moved twice with no GC.Question....for those that have been moved twice due to resort closures and have been recently, did you receive a $100 give card by email? There were a few people that changed multiple times and was told they would get a GC. I have changed 2 times and GS never mentioned it. Just curious.
I was moved twice from our original resort for August and did not receive the gift card (nor was it mentioned to me.)Question....for those that have been moved twice due to resort closures and have been recently, did you receive a $100 give card by email? Super happy for you! And very mad at myself. Oh well, wasn't meant to be. I have decided to go ahead and do Disney along with Universal during our fall break trip though because of the discounts. Hopefully I'll get the pin code and get a comparable deal anyway.Raising hand ...
We had been moved price protected from All-Star Movie suite to Art of Animation Lion King suite. I applied the Southern State Room Offer and it took off almost $400, and I had the choice of Cars, Nemo, and Lion King. I chose Nemo and the price lowered was $360 instead of $400 off a 3 night stay. I was surprised - happily. (Trip is in December.)
We checked in today - 4 rooms; 2 rooms got the email with the gift card yesterday...2 still hadn't today, so i asked about and they said we should have gotten it so they just went ahead and put $100 credit on our room. - This one was not mentioned to me during the 2nd change of resorts, however we also got changed twice for an Oct trip and was told about it for thst one.Question....for those that have been moved twice due to resort closures and have been recently, did you receive a $100 give card by email? I called to ask about it a few weeks ago and they said I was eligible. I was told I would receive the credit via email 5 days prior to our trip. We arrive tomorrow and still no emailQuestion....for those that have been moved twice due to resort closures and have been recently, did you receive a $100 give card by email? Anyone else still just waiting until closer to your vacation time to call about a closed resort? We have AS Movies booked between Christmas and New Year. I’m going to wait a bit and see if they contact me before I call them.
I guess I don't understand why you "don't like seeing ppl. who were staying at the All-Stars say they don't want OKW." What does that have to do with you? Different ppl have different opinions and priorities when choosing a resort...not really a big deal??These moves are great. I guess they could just cancel those staying at resorts that are closed...and don't offer free upgrades. I don't like seeing people who were stay at All Stars saying they don't want OKW...
All these upgrades from value and moderate to deluxe will probably influence some future booking decisions. I know that once we stayed at AKL then we have not stayed anywhere but Deluxe resorts.
I, myself, would be ecstatic to be upgraded at no additional charge.
have a great vacation.
Not on a room that you booked through a third party. If I call Disney, can I add tickets to my room by turning it into a "package" with a deposit and therefore not being out the $2000+ for tickets just yet?

Don't get me wrongful; I think it's grewt Disney is doing what they can can to accommodate guests who are being impacted by them not opening those resorts, but I certainly respect someone's disappointment in not getting what they originally were wanting and understand they very well may have had preferences atvtjosecresorts that OKW doesn't offer.
I'm not sure if this thread or the ticket thread would be the better place to post this, but I'll start here. We have a stay over Thanksgiving at Movies that was moved price protected to AoA. It was a room booked through UT. I have not bought tickets yet, but have noticed that some of Thanksgiving week is starting to sell-out. If I call Disney, can I add tickets to my room by turning it into a "package" with a deposit and therefore not being out the $2000+ for tickets just yet? We were planning to buy tickets around mid-October when we had made a definite decision on whether or not we were going. Parks had not been selling out for resort guests this far in advance although I realize that Thanksgiving will be a bigger holiday issue than Labor Day was.
