Resort Change by Disney

Looks like they have done away with the $10/night mousekeeping decline gift card, my checkin process for 2021 just says I can have every other day or decline. No mention of credit now. Is this the wording that is on the 2020 reservations still?
Yes, that's how it is now for all reservations. It seems as though if you did the check-in prior to the updated resort changes, the gift card promotion still stands. However, now it's just every other day housekeeping or a total decline with nothing in return.
 
I specifically asked for Pop for November 29 but was told value and moderates weren't available for those dates. I wonder if maybe I am not allowed to switch resorts and dates (currently booked at All-Star Music), but a mid-October vacation isn't as appealing with no Halloween party or Eat to the Beat concerts.
How long ago did you ask. I was switched to pop yesterday

It's unclear to me.

I received a $30 gift card in email on Monday (we don't go until mid-August) and Tuesday when I tried to transfer it to my card, it errored. I assumed it was because I canceled the second half of our split stay.
Yesterday afternoon I received the below email which seems to indicate they are still giving gift cards (at least in 2020) but on the website/app seeing the same wording you are - no mention of credits.

"We’re contacting you because you recently received an email from Disney Gift Card Services containing a Disney Gift Card eGift. I received a 50 dollar gift card emailed to me. I have no idea where it came from and the only thing I can think of is from declining mousekeeping when I checked in a couple months ago. My trip is not until November 29th

Interesting! We were sent a gift card Monday that lined up with the declined housekeeping for our December stay, and I was able to transfer it Monday. We haven't gotten the follow up email you quoted here. Interesting!

Intresting. I put my gift card on my reservation right away and did not receive that email. I owed 397 dollars and now I owe 347. Wonder if they will put the 50 dollars back on to what I owe.
 
If you don't mind me asking, why is everyone so down on Caribbean Beach? I stayed there last year, and while it's a little dated, the location's pretty good and the rooms opening to the outside actually seems safer from a sanitation perspective given all the COVID stuff.

I know right! We LOVE Carribean Beach! Love the themeing, the pools, the food court. And now the Skyliner! That was our resort of choice for this trip before we had to move.

Maybe you both transferred it in time before they caught it?
(I was going to check on Monday but after the park reservations and the phone calls about the resort, I didn't have it in me anymore that day lol)

I am assuming anyone with reservations that are receiving gift cards for declining housekeeping are not DVC members. Has anyone received a gift card declining housekeeping that are DVC members? There was an option on online check-in to decline it.
 
I'm in! I have music today. Listening to Pirates as I type. "Over 2 hours" is the estimate given to get a CM. We will see.

We stayed at CBR a few years ago, RIGHT as they started the big property renovation. Our room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. We didn't like how spread out the property was, and needing to take internal buses to go to the front desk or food court. But the room was great.

I switched my dates from August to December at Pop today. The lady though, kept asking me to wait because she could see availability and everything but the system was being stubborn and slow and taking some time to accept the change. I left everything the same except the dates (nights, room type, etc.)

I agree, while a deluxe upgrade would have been awesome, we were excited about trying out Caribbean Beach for the first time after being moved from POFQ.

My music cut off about 10 minutes ago; losing hope this will get done after getting through then cut off earlier. (After yesterday's effort)

I haven't heard of anyone getting through after the...silence. Hung up and called back...I am on Hold once again with music! I have been at this since 7 am and 7 hours on Monday...

There have been some on this board who have. And prior to this mess, I have had silent holds that have been answered. It just feels like nothing is ever going to happen.

DVC doesn’t qualify as we don’t get daily housekeeping anyway except certain days
