What would the approximate cost increase going from a POP reservation to a DVC reservation if required to upgrade? I currently have a reservation starting on July 11th at POP.

Depends if you have an offer that can be applied. If not you have to pay rack rate for 2020 pricing. Depending on the resort rack rate you are looking as low 400.00 -500.00 a night. If you have an offer attached that can be transferred you might be looking as low as 300.00.

I wonder if they will open most of the resorts by July 11? How else could they be doing this? I'm just going to go ahead and make my reservations Monday I guess. Although with my dates I'll only be able to get into two of the parks since my current checkout is July 14

Interesting. That is slightly more doable for me than I was imagining... but still a significant increase from Pop. Thanks for the info!

You would probably be better renting points from a DVC member, but then it is non refundable.

I don't think my heart could handle if I got the park reservations I want, only to not be able to come because my resort is closed. After I get those, I won't be able to contain my excitement.

I know people are saying that those reservations might just get cancelled, but I truly believe they will take care of you.

I don't see how their website will be able to handle this amount of traffic on an untested application. The pressure on that IT team must be unimaginable.

My trip is 7/16-7/30 at CBR. I just spoke with a CM about another issue so I asked about July reservations, she said "If your resort is closed they will be sending an email. If they move you to a differnt resort you will not pay any more money. Your reservation will not be cancelled".

Yes. I went through a travel agent and she emailed me about an hour ago, told me we’ve been moved at no additional charge.

Where is your current resort reservation at? I am just wondering if we can figure out from those who have been told they need to move and those that have not been contacted.

We are at the Beach Club. Sun and Fun discount so I'm hoping we don't have to pay rack rate for wherever they put us.

I don't know where your res is at, but it seems like the Poly/BC moves are related to NBA not to closed resorts....

It may save the CMs a great deal of time if they just change resorts and email the updates. They will just have to deal with the people who do not like their move instead of everyone that will be is moved.

My reservation is in VERY early September, so that’s what my guess is, too.

My Beach club booked with a TA for labor day weekend Sept 5-7 is in MDE as Poly Village Resort. Standard View. Guess I better email my TA to find out what is happening.
