We are so bonded with our 1st home resort (SSR) and luckily so since we bought sight unseen!:wizard: It just fits us and is forever tied to the magical memories of our first trip to WDW. We haven't managed to bring ourselves to stay anywhere else even though we do plan our trips far in advance.

We have a trip coming up at our new home resort, AKV. I really hope we will bond with it too. We all were always fascinated with Animal Kingdom lodge out of all the resorts we visited so we added on there.

We thought about DVC long enough to know that we needed to "buy where we wanted to stay" - and that was VWL all the way. We are thrilled that for most of our trips for the rest of our life we will be to stay at the Lodge.

I chose "B," but my answer is between A and B. I love my home resort and can't wait to return. However, any resort will do. I absolutely love every resort we've stayed at so far (BWV, VWL, SSR, OKW). This spring, we're staying at AKV, and this summer, we've got reservations for VB and BCV.

Looking foward to trying THV and BLT possibly next year! :goodvibes

BCV is our home and I do crave and long for it. After a few more stays here, I'll be ready to try something else, but I'll always be glad to call BCV home. I think when we are ready for a change, we will give VWL a shot.

Our home resorts are SSR and AKV, but we love trying all the DVC resorts. There is such a variety of theming and it's lots of fun to explore and appreciate all of the resorts for what they have to offer. We have 2 more to go - OKW and VWL. :cloud9:

The reason I chose BWV and my feelings have not changed in almost 10 years since I bought:

I agree. There's no place like home. :lovestruc

I'm actually not "bonded at all. I am really hoping to visit all of the resorts someday.

We purchased SSR for first chance at VGC. We chose SSR over AKV because I like the SSR decor better (from the book, models were closed when we purchased) and like the lower maintanence fees. I know I'll like SSR once we stay there. Also want to stay at VWL due to proximity to MK, possibly BLT but don't really like the studio configuration and higher points...

Count us, "Just a contract." Although we love BWV and tried, many times, to purchase -- we ended up with SSR for the dues and length of contract.

However -- the Treehouses are something to look forward to. Perhaps we'll bond over them ... after 5 years of DVC ownership. FWIW, I'm strongly bonded to one of my non-DVC properties.

Even though BWV is first in my heart, I do enjoy trying out the other resorts. I've stayed at OKW, VWL, BCV, AKV. I also expanded out to DL last year, stayed at PPH and GC on points (I'm even thinking of adding on at GCV). In almost 10 years of DVC, I was not able to get a reservation only once. That was in October 2007 when I tried to book 3 weeks out (one Sunday night add-on to a business trip). I ended up using points at POFQ (before the $95 fee). I have a reservation for AKV Kidani in June, then back to BWV in early December.

I used to say "only the home resort for me," but since staying at VWL, I no longer feel that way. I love my resort (soon to be resorts), but I look forward to stays at other resorts as well. This upcoming April, we will be at AKV, this past New Year's Eve, we were at BC and then we go back to SSR in October. Personally, I like the condo style best (parking at our near your door), but I have found that the hotel style definitely has its charms (hence the 360 points we bought at BLT). I do like the 11 month booking window, and take advantage of that for my home resorts, but really, any place will do.

While I have bonded with my home resort (BCV) I do love other resorts. WLV's are my absolte favorite and this year we are trying AKV's so I may have a new favorite!

This is good to know.....I am holding off adding on until making reservations at 7 mos. becomes a problem.:goodvibes

We own at SSR and AKV, and love them both for very different reasons.

We bought SSR for the location, strange as that may sound to some of you. The onsite golf course and easy walk to DTD totally sold it to us (and yes, we consider it an easy walk from the Grandstand :) ). So SSR will always be our first DVC love.

AKV feels like a separate world, we love the feel of the place. There is something special about walking into the lobby there. :cloud9:

Although we enjoy trying other DVC's every now and then, it's never quite the same as coming 'home' to SSR or AKV - we definitely bought where we want to stay.

We love our Home Resort at BCV! From location to decor to pool you name it. We also own at AKV and will be staying at Kidani for the first time in Sept. Hopefully we will love it as much as we love BCV.

Fell in love w/ OKW when friends let me use theirs 2 or 3 times. Coulnd't afford to buy till 2000, had to have OKW, and bought a resale. I've tried them all and stay at AKV & BWV because of the kids from time to time, but OKW will always be my favorite and whre I stay the most. :flower3:
