We are staying one night in a very roomy 1 Bedroom suite before we check into the BWV tomorrow morning. So far we are very pleased. We got a great government rate for the room. The bedroom has 2 queen beds, a tv, a dresser, and a closet. The bathroom is thru the bedroom (only negative I can find). There's a sink area outside the bath area and it's open to the beds. The living area has a separate door - and has a very nice L shape sofa - that pulls out to a bed. We have a small table with 2 chairs and a separate work table with rolling padded work chair. The kitchen area has a full size refrigerator with sink, dishwasher, 2 burner stove, and microwave. So far it's very quiet. The pool area looks nice with water "squirting" out of a rock formation. There's a separate hot tub & plenty of pool towels - and a bar with adult beverages. Breakfast is included - and the dining area looks quite large. I'll post a report on the breakfast when we return from our trip. Oh - there's a IBG room (that's itty bitty game room). DH and DS reported that the games were not in good condition.

The location of the hotel is very convenient to Disney. It's off of Palm Parkway - which is just north of the Crossroads area. This area looks like a relatively undeveloped area - which I'm sure won't last long.

For the sports fans - we watched the Buckeyes beat the Gophers at a BW3's in the Crossroads. We tried to get into the ESPN club - but it was packed! Lots of Buckeye fans everyone we went. BW3's was featuring the Gators game. The Buckeyes were on a couple of the large screens. They have this cool feature where you can get a speaker to tune into the game that you wish to watch. Very cool. Go Bucks!

We have stayed at the Residence Inn, and find it a very good value.

Let us know all you can, please! I am thinking of booking this for our April trip. We can get a great Gov. rate but my concern is how far from WDW is this hotel. If you can let us know how long it took you to get to DTD, I would be able to gauge it a bit better! Thanks!!

Emme The Residence Inn LBV is a very short drive to Downtown Disney - ?less than 5 minutes?. The locations is very, very convient to Disney - and is close to lots of restaurants (incl. our favorite the Orlando Ale House) & the Win-Dixie grocery store (on 535 & Lake Road).

We actually stayed here two separate nights (bookend a stayed at the BW villas). The RI-LBV is pretty new IMHO. I would ask for a top floor room that is away from I-4. The hotel is very quiet - and the rooms are a nice size. The beds are comfortable. As I mentioned, the only negative is that the bath area is off the bedroom. The bath and the toilet are in a one room. The sink area is open to the bedroom and is between tub/toilet room and the beds. We got a govt rate of $89 (plus tax) for a 2 Queen bed/2 room suite. The rate includes breakfast. It's a large breakfast and was adequate for our needs. DS enjoyed the make your own Mickey waffles. I liked the oatmeal with brown sugar/pecans/raisins. The coffess was yucky Maxwell House, but I pack my own Starbucks ground coffree so we can make it in the room.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

!

That area has been the same for years. I did notice a new sign on the corner, as you make the turn to go to RI. It's so close to WDW, it amazes me no one has snatched up all that land. Maybe the people selling it want too much money for it??
