Reserving Campsites at Christmas

I just want to say thank you for this thread! About a week or so ago we started kicking around the idea of hitting the Fort during a Florida visit for Christmas-New Years (Heaven help us!) I figured we were pretty much out of luck and wasn't going to even try, but reading this thread caused me to do some trying with the day to day method. Over the course of the last few days I was able to pick up 6 days in a row during Christmas week! 3 Preferred and 3 Premium, but as luck would have it, those are concurrent as well - so there's a possibility of a move, but no biggie since it would only be once.

Now to start thinking about the dreaded FP+ thing and a couple of dining reservations - YIKES! I sure miss the old days of park spontenaiety.

Congratulations on your 6 days! Yes, I had to be very persistent as well.

Also, fyi: I bought tickets and got a Magic Your Way Package in case we wanted dining, and they were not able to combine all my reservations into one. They think there is something glitchy about the system since it's so busy at that time--they don't think it's that one of them was a package.

They told me to call back and try again in a week or so, so there's a bit of advice when putting all your reservations together (not that I'm sure what good knowing that is, other than to not be surprised if there are some glitches. I had four different reservations, so that's a bit of juggling!)

Thanks for the info! I still need to do some math on admission since DH and I are going down for a weekend for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. APs might be worth it, but maybe not depending on how many days we stay each time. Anyway, good to have a heads up on the linking the reservations!

Christmas to new years is a tough and busy one. Thats why when we did leave around that time we spent the first week at the beach and then went to Disney the following week after new years. It was easier to get a reservation.
