Reserve villa 1 day, not getting in til early next morn...

Anybody done this? Reserve 10/9-10/15. However, I'm reserving10/9 with online check in. Our flight gets in at 840AM on 10/10. Since "check-in" was 10/9, will the room b available 10/10 since we "should" have checked in 10/9?
Or, since no one will scan their magic band at the door on 10/9 will Disney have cancelled our reservation for a no-show?
I was willing to let those points go basically, so that we would have a room on 10/10 early in the morning after being up since 3:30 am.
Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Thanks, Debbie

I would call the resort to let them know on the 9th, just to be sure the reservation doesn't cancel as a "no show" when the computer system resets on the morning of the 10th.

Thanks Chuck. As a follow up, will it mess up anything if we reserve ME for 10/10? Will Disney even allow us since our reservation starts on 10/9?

I'm just curious as to why you would reserve the day before when you are not arriving until the next day. I'd be worried they would mark it as a no show!

Magical Express should be fine. People arrive and leave at different times during reservations. Being as October 10 is a Wednesday, depending upon the resort you've booked, there may be a good chance your room will be ready whether you waste points for the 9th or not. I'd say for midweek arrivals my room is ready about 60% of the time at OKW, even if I arrive early.

We r renting a 2 bedroom & both couples will have gotten up at 3:30 on the 10th & we just want to b able to go directly to our room when we arrive at about 930-10 am at SSR. I have extra points this year, so thought this might not be a bad idea.

I have done this before & had DVC Member Services note it on my reservation. The room was ready when we checked in
