Help! Is it possible to make a camping reservation online? I am so frustrated because I can only find a way to reserve a cabin.....please help!!! thanks so much! :)

You can definetly make your campsite reservations online. We did for our trip last December. Should be one of your options when you put in your dates and they show the list of all the places to stay there. I will go try it out again and let you know exactly what it says.

After you enter your dates and you get the list of places you need to go down to Fort Wilderness Campground. The one right under it says Fort Wilderness Resort which much be the cabins. Good luck!

If the campsite is full, when you select it, it might give you the cabins instead. I had this happen to me. The campsites did end up opening up and I got my reservation. But, just check to see that you are selecting campgrounds and then if it takes you to cabin or other options, assume they are full. Good luck.

I would not do an online ressie for FW unless you need a very basic site. When you call they will ask you what type of camping unit you have, the size, slides and awnings, sewer and cable TV, and pets. All this information will be used to get you into the proper site when you arrive. Calling is a much better idea. ;)

I often check to see if anything is available on line. Then I will call in for the reservation. By doing this you can see if any discounts might be applied, i.e. Fl resident, passholder. Also a reservation made over the phone can be canceled up to 5 days before your arrival with out penalty. On line reservations are 45 days.

I found that an advantage to making a ressie on-line is that you can do so before the phone lines open at 7:00AM and if the prior days cancellations are in the system you make your ressie and then call CRO anytime and revise the ressie from an on-line to a phone-in and see if any discounts are available.

I booked our trip this year by calling. I forgot that last year (our first trip to FW) I had booked online but that was before we got our motorhome and we were staying at Wilderness Lodge. So when we got the motorhome I called and changed the reservations.
You might want to call instead. I might have made our ressies online if I didn't have some questions to ask and a request. I guess it is more about preference. Good luck!

When I made ressies online, it had a place for you to put that information.
