Reservations with package?

Hey everyone! This question has probably been answered, but I can't get the "search" to work. I went ahead and reserved a week a FW to make sure we had a campsite for June. I did not purchase any WDW tickets at that time. Is it better to purchase tickets when you reserve your campsite or is it the same either way? We are not planning on purchasing the DP as we will eat several meals in the TT. TIA

I don't really think it matters one way or another, you can always call back and add tickets at anytime it shouldn't mess up your reservations.

I also didn't add tickets onto my reservations because I would like to really buy them though AAA that is the cheapest price around, I always like to get everything the cheapest I can

We always buy our tickets at MK. First we set up camp then we go over and get our tickets such a happy time.

It would cost the same either way. Personally I've never bought tickets from Disney. I've used AAA for several years but recently I've used undercovertourist.com with a special link I received by signing up for the mousesavers.com newsletter. There are other sources available as well like dwtickets.com and mapleleaftickets.com. I think you'll find that no matter the source the discount is pretty much the same.

An adult 10 day park hopper ticket from AAA is 275.00 that's about the cheapest I've seen.

Mousesavers has it cheaper but by the time you add shipping it ends up to be more.

If anyone has gotten a 10 day park hopper cheaper please let us know.

If you purchase your tickets with your campsite from AAA, it turns your "room only" reservation into a "package." If you buy a package, you get:

* the AAA diamond parking card
* 6 months 0% financing on a Disney VISA

It's not available for everyone, but SOG has military discounts (basically no tax). We paid $440 for an annual passport that we will get close to 80 day's use out of this year. A 10 day park hopper adult is $265 thru SOG.

At mapleleaftickets it is $274.40 including tax + 6.95 shipping for the order not per ticket (free pickup at their office in Kissimmee). Yea here where I live I can get a 10 day park hopper for 275.00 including tax so that's the best I have come up with...a 10 day is just about 8 dollars more than a 7 day... go figure that.

If you are talking about EMH thats is only for people staying on disney property.

And since you're staying at the Fort you qualify.
Be sure to check the calendars online so you can see which parks open early or close late. That info is usually posted, IIRC, three months in advance. It will help you plan your trip so you can maximize park time.

Last year I decided to just book my campsite and then add the tickets a few weeks before we left. I like the idea of everything on my one little card. Well they had to cancel my one reservation and do a new one as a package. It worked out ok but it was a hassle and I was a little stressed because I was afraid it would screw something up. This year I went ahead and did as a package.

Disney was cheaper then AAA for the hoppers we wanted so that is why I stuck with Disney. Thought about Mousesavers but wasn't too sure about doing it that way. It is just my husband and I so I don't have some huge group to get tickets for. I go check in and all my stuff is there waiting for me.

Everything was fine after the changes. I stressed for no reason. More because I didn't realize I had to do all that I thought I could just add the tickets.
I know that my husband and I each had our own card. Not sure how that works with kids. I guess they get there own too. I am sure someone here knows more about that then I do.
Don't stress. It isn't just a vacation you are staying at the Fort!

Hi everyone,
I've been reading this board for quite a while now and I have to say that I can't get enough info. We have made reservations only at the Fort the past couple of times cause we can cancel 5 days out instead of having to pay 45 days out. We are from Mass. so we do have a little ride to get to the Fort and anything can go wrong and might have to cancel (heaven forbid). We've gotten our tickets from Ticketmania and have had no trouble at all. Already have ressis for May '09.
