I was browsing for reservations for our summer trip this morning and saw some things that surprised me - time slots for: Restaurantosaurus and Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom. Not interested in making reservations at either, but I am curious about the change....are they full service restaurants now? Actually I am now a bit nostalgic about the former because I do remember many, many years ago the fun breakfast at Restaurantosaurus before they moved it over to the Tusker House! My kids loved the antics the servers would pull. . . .

No, these two are like be our guest. Upscale quick service type deal. They do a similar thing at ABC commissary at HS too.

It is still QS, but it is a prix fix meal and everyone has to order it if you make the ADR. You can still just walk into either of these two and order whatever you like. The ADR is just a special QS meal.

They're also both fantastic deals for a quick service credit. Restaurantosaurus come with a high-end burger (this side of the restaurant is by the same people in charge of D-Luxe Burger, iirc), a good sized side, and a three-scoop build-your-own sundae with all the toppings you want. Pizzafari comes with Caprese salad, Caesar salad, pizza, you choice of two other entrees, and cannolis. It's a LOT of food.

Both are currently showing as not accepting DDP, but people in the parks have said they've been able to redeem QS credits there this week.

I thought the Restaurantosaurus burger and sundaes was considered a table service.

so......if you were to walk-in the "special" burger and sundae bar are off limits and there is a different menu?

Not necessarily off limits; they may be able to take you into the special burger part of the restaurant if there is availability. But there is always a different menu available for anyone who didn't want the ADR menu.

DH and I went to Pizzafari for lunch (around 2:30 pm) in Nov. 2019 and we were able to have the usual menu (we had individual pizzas and soft drinks) with no problems. I think the Family Dining might be available after 4 pm.

You have the option of Table with special fixed menus or Quick service. Table service has limited number of seats and this also reduces the number of seats available for quick service. If you go to the Disney website dining pages you can find the menus for each option.

I remember that Restaurantosaurus breakfast too! It was the very first character meal that my family ever did when my now grown-up girl was a toddler.
