My last trip in 2001 wasn't as well planned as this one, so I'm trying to get together as much info as poss?

I noticed at EPCOT for Illuminations, there were section's closed off? And at MGM, there were section's of seats closed for Fantasmic?

How do you do this? And how much does it cost?

hi, you need to book a fantasmic dinner package by making a priority seating with disney dining at least ninety days before the date you want, you eat in a restaurant at a fixed price and you get a ticket for the reserved section of fantasmic, so no queing, we ate at hollywood and vine, it was great would highly recommkend it and will definately do it again next time. think disney change the restaurants from time to time, am sure expert with up to date info will be along any minute.

We also ate at H&V and loved it, we booked well in advance but friends of ours went in August and booked at the park on the day they wanted to eat so maybe it isnt neccessary to book so far in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc

If there is an area closed off for Illuminations it is usually for a private party :)

I would also recommend Hollywood & Vine. Great food and booking the Fantasmic Dinner Package cost no extra.

With the other 2 restaurants on the package (Mama Melrose and the Brown Derby) I believe there is a limited menu choice. H&V is a buffet (a good one at that!) so you just eat the same as "normal" diners and get the tickets to the reserved seating area of Fantasmic for free!

It is normally best to book ahead, but H&V is a big restaurant and you can often get a table without too much trouble. Tickets to the reserved area are limited though, so we always book. Going to be doing the FDP on Boxing Day this year which we are looking forward to a lot!!

Have fun!

Hi
We've also done Fantasmic! and ate at H&V and it was great! You just book through Disney and ask for the Fantasmic! dinner package and tell them your choice of restaurant. There is an Illuminations cruise which costs $120. The boat holds about 12 people, you don't have to share (unless you want to!) but booking it is VERY hard apparently. You need to book it exactly 90 days from the date you want to go and as soon as the phone lines open (7AM Orlando time) pretty much at any time of the year.
