Reservations for days in Oct should I get tickets from Disneyland online or can I get tickets from anywhere?

It doesn’t really matter where you get your tickets from, just as long as you have a ticket number to link to your account so you CAN make park reservations. You can’t make reservations without that. I had my tickets for several weeks before I even was able to make my park reservations, so I was pretty happy when they opened it up to be able to book at 120 days out. I’m not sure when your trip is, but they’re allowing booking to mid-October at this point… :)

Looking from Oct 18-23
Someone was saying if you get the tickets from Disneyland your guarantee reservation.

So I wasn't sure how it worked and thanks for the response.

Just didn't want to buy tickets and not get a reservation

When you buy the tickets directly from Disney you do have to make your reservations as you purchase the tickets. If you buy them from a third party, you make reservations after you purchase the tickets and add them to your account (which only takes a few seconds).

Reservation availability is the same regardless of third party or direct purchased tickets. Once the reservation is booked you’re all set either way.
Since you’re looking several months ahead and availability is wide open (though you need to wait a few more days for all your days to open for reservations) personally I see no reason not to purchase tickets from one of the third party resellers who offer small discounts (better than nothing! And can add up).

Just be very careful if you go through 3rd party or travel agent. I know bigger companies like AAA/Auto Club are legitimate- you just can never be too careful. For myself I will only buy directly from Disney so if there's ever an issue they will help out. Similar to booking hotels or other 3rd party "discount deals".
