We're staying at BWV next month (11/26 - 12/1) and I'd like to try both Beaches & Cream and Big River Grille & Brewing works. I know that BRGB accepts reservations if you call their number; however, are they necessary?

Also, I think I remember B&C being a CS restaurant...does it get overly crowded? Should we try to plan a visit during an "off-peak" meal hour, or will we be okay just stopping by at lunchtime or for dinner?

Thanks!

Neither takes reservations at all. There is something like a "call ahead" for BRG but it is not a reservation and you don't have to do it six months ahead. Heck, you may not even have to do it a week ahead.

Beaches & Cream is not a CS restaurant. It is a TS. They seat you, and there are servers who will take your order and bring it to you. If you are on the dining plan you must use TS credits to dine here. There is a takeout counter, but it does not serve any food or specialty sundaes. It's also the smallest TS restaurant at WDW, so if you don't want a long wait it's suggested you go when they open or outside peak mealtimes and avoid the hour or so after Illuminations lets out.

Beaches & Cream is a Table Service restaurant that does not take reservations. They do have a small walk up window but you cannot order food from it; it's mostly for drinks for people using the pool.

The place has maybe 10 tables (at most) and a few counter stools. It's very small and during peak meal times or after Illuminations, the wait to get in can exceed an hour.

Big River Grill is hit or miss. We have walked up and been unable to get a seat; we've also walked over and the place was empty.

Thanks for the info. I had planned to try one of these restaurants our first night in; however, I'm beginning to wonder if I should make a ressie elsewhere and try one of these at an off hour another day. :-)
