I know the 11/7 month rules but how far in advance can reservations be made at a non DVC resort such as Disneyland in California? I am sure the answer is in one of the books I have but I can't find it. Thanks

11 months. That said, the point charts for the non-DVC resorts aren't always available 11 months prior.

I was able to make reservations in late March for a 3 night stay in mid May for Grand Californian without the $95 booking fee. However, not sure of availability if I were to book 5 or more days.

I just called DVC because I need to book at either of the Disneyland Hotels in August of this year and they told me none of the Disneyland Hotels require a booking fee - but they are building some DVC rooms in the Grand Californian and she thinks those will require booking fees.

That doesn't make sense--why would you be charged a booking fee for another DVC? Maybe what they mean is that once the Grand Californian DVC opens they will charge a booking fee for the other two hotels at DL--Paradise Pier and Disneyland Hotel--just like they charge a booking fee for non-DVC resorts in WDW.
