I haven't looked at the trade board for about a year. I browsed through the last month of pages. It seems the reservation wanteds far out number the points available.

I wonder if the new rules have had an effect on the commercial renters?

Maybe fewer transfer points become rented points. Less point morphing.

I haven't really seen any decrease in the number of members renting thru the site - but we have had a big influx of those wanting to rent - especially in the past 8 weeks. There are a number of internet locations recommending DVC rentals as a budget option for WDW trips.

In the past few weeks, we've been getting 50-75 threads in the validation queue on a daily basis and that's a huge increase. There are many more who just post in the threads already started and quite a number who never even post- they just contact owners/renters by email or PM.

I think what you are seeing is a change in behavior from owners renting points. Instead of announcing to the whole DIS that they are renting points, they quietly reply by PM to those requesting them.

Salmoneous-You are correct in at least my case. I posted for a reservation wanted and was contacted via email/pm by several members offering to rent to me.
