reservation via phone vs website

I need a one night reservation at my home resort AKV and was wondering if I have a better chance of getting it by DVC website reservation request form or by phone on the day my 11 month window opens. When are the website ressie requests processed? Thanks.

It takes a few days to hear back via email. I have not used them to request a reservation, only to add the dining plan and put in a special room request.

For booking, I would call MS, especially if you are concerned that you won't get the room you want.

if you are looking for a concierge room or value room, i would call right when the window opens at 11 months.

for any other reservation at AKV, i would just ask for what i wanted - whether sav view or whatever...or jambo or kidani - by the website. that's JMHO. i don't think it matters for the most part.

OTOH, if your request is complicated - banking/borrowing pts or whatever - then i would call. otherwise, it's pretty easy to use the website if there is no big rush...and for most reservations, calling right at the 11 month window for the larger resorts is not necessary. if you prefer to talk to a human being, then feel free...but the website has worked fine for me in the past.
