Reservation suggestions...Please??

Switching reservations to VWL (4nts) and OKW (3nts). What should I ask for in terms of buildings, view, etc. I know that they can't be quaranteed, but it never hurts to ask., right? Never stayed at either resort so any advice would be appreciated.

Can only answer to VWL, and barely at that since we stayed there just this past August for the first time. I think you can hardly go wrong at VWL, though I have read a couple of posts that mentioned overlooking a loading dock in back or the bus stop out front. Our room was along the front, but we could just barely see the area where we knew the bus pick up area to be. With all the trees on this property--even after the hurricanes--I don't think you'd have a bad view. As for the loading dock situation, you can at least ask them not to put you anywhere near it. I think you'll love VWL--it is a superb resort.

With OKW being so large, it really depends on what you want. it is nice to be by the Hospitality House, but the main pool is still under construction there - so if you want to be near a pool, you'll need to request a place near a quiet pool. Seems the Pennisular Road area was very convinient to pretty much everything. We stayed in bldg 22 and 62 - loved 62's convinience, but liked being near the quiet pool in 22. All of the bldgs pretty much have wonderful views, just make sure you get non-smoking! Have fun!

For OKW, it depends on what is important to you. If you like to be near the restaurant and main pool or if you want to be near a neighborhood pool, or if you want a water view, or if you want a golf course view, or if you want to be very near a bus stop....etc. We usually start by stating "non-smoking" and then ask to be near the South Point neighborhood pool, because we love the views down there and the proximaty to DTD and the "middle" bus stop.
