Hello all!

My DH, Mother, Mother-in-law and infant son (he'll be 1) are heading to WDW in December. My mom I know for sure is going to want to come to every restaurant with us. My MIL on the other hand may or may not want to come along. When I make my reservations in advance would it be easier to just include my MIL in the reservation and then cancel her if she decides not to come? Or should I not include her at all and try to get her added into the reservation later if she decides to come? (Can I even make modification to our reservations like that?)

Also I was wondering about my son, obviously I'm not going to pay for him to eat but he will need a highchair to sit in. Should I make that known when I make the reservation or just mention it when we get there?

Thank you!!

Brooke

:yay:

It reads that there will be 5 of you going, including your infant son. Make your ADR's for 5 people (they will count your son, even if he isn't eating due to firecode restrictions).

Make sure to make your ressies for 5. It's much easier to go down a person than up, especially since you would be changing table sizes from a table for 4 to a table for 6 for those meals that your MIL will be going to.

Making modifications at a later time is often difficult because the ADRs are done by table size and if you call later and that table size is not available, they will tell you you couldn't add your MIL. So I would make all meals for 5 and then just tell them at restaurant checkin that it will only be 4. That way she can decide last minute if she is dining or not.

The only issues with this is if you are dining at the few places that require a credit card hold because you will be charged for the number of people on the ADR even if they don't all show up. If you plan on any of those, I'd make your MIL commit now to either go or not go.

I don't know about asking for a high chair at time of reservation. We always just requested it when we get to the restaurant.

I would make the ress for you MIL and tell them about your son .
