Reservation Question

Four of us are planning on being at WDW from Nov 30-Dec 6. We want to stay at PoP using two rooms.
My question is how late can we wait to make reservations and have a reasonable expectation of getting the rooms? The only reason I ask this that I could make the reservations now, but want to wait as long as possible in the event something prevents us from going.
Can you help me out?
Thanks

Since any WDW Resort can sell out at anytime even when it's months away, I would make the reservation now and if you need to cancel you could just call WDW and do that. I am not sure how long it takes Pop Century to sell out, however you would not want to wait to long to make a reservation and when you call they say it's sold out.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong:

I think you can get back your deposit if you cancel up to 45 days prior to the trip. So book now.

I think that's if you do a package reservation. If you do a room only reservation you can cancel up 72 hours before your arrival date.

Thanks CR Fan!

So either way, you have from now until mid October to cancel if you book today. And you have more of a shot at getting what you actually want if you book sooner as opposed to later.

This is true when booking a package plan. I think you have up to five days before your check-in date to cancel a "room only" reservation. As the other posters have stated, I would go ahead and book the room. If you book a "room only" reservation" you can always change it to a package plan once you have decided for sure that you are going. This would give you the longest period to cancel without any penalities.

Excellent observation and it's something the OP should consider thinking about.

Thanks for all of the prompt replies. I should have mentioned that we are getting the package. I usually use a TA as they can get rooms easier than I can. Thanks again!
