Has anyone ever cut their stay short by a day or so ? Can this be done and if so do they refund your money for the day not used ?

We were at the Fort in Jan. , had 10 dayz booked,,had to cut n run 3 dayz short,,no problem and they did refund our money. I was told at the front desk to never cancel any dayz you may have booked prior to your arrival bacause if it turns out you can stay the whole trip then your all set.However if you cancel any dayz before yor arrival an it turns out you could have stayed those xtra dayz ,it ain't likely to happen.Mr. ..Ain't never too good to be Goofy

Hey 2goofycampers, I think you have the camper I wanted. Is your's the hybrid with the side and rear flip outs ? My dealer had one of the last ones to be made before they discontinued and was gonna make me a deal. But my SUV's towing capacity was a little low. If I ever go back to a full size truck I'll have to buy a used on if I can even find it.

I ended up buying a Jayco 1207 Pop-up. I like it ok but wish I could have gotten your model.

Canceling remaining days can only be done if you have a "room only" reservation. If you have a package, such as with dining, tickets included, etc., then those remaining days cannot be cancelled.

No we have a hard sided tt from Jayco. If you do leave early and have pets they tend to forget the $5.00 a day for them in your refund. I had to call when I got home to get ours back...

I wanted the Hybrid with the two fold out beds. Its hard sided except for the beds. I do have a dog but she will not be going. She is half Husky and half Rotweiller. By September she'll weigh 80 to 100 pounds. Much too big to live in a Pop-up.

I don't know about having a ressie with a package. We have had room only resv. on the past two trips and left early both trips. Make sure you go by the office the day you leave because if you don't you won't get a credit. I don't know if everyone has express check out but they set it up on both trips and if we left the day we were originally set to then they leave a note the morning of your departure at your campsite and you can leave without going by the office. If you want a detailed statement of your room charges and your camp fees and you are leaving early, you must go to the office on your way out.

We have done this many times and they just refund the difference back to our credit card.

We had to cut our trip short by 7 days the summer of 2006. We were there only 1 night, and my FIL passed away--we were just worried about getting back to Pa, we never considered that they'd refund the rest of our trip, but they did, and were wonderful to us during a really hard time.
