Reservation Package

I just booked a trip for April 2021 and am confused with what is showing up in MDE. It appears the CM has me booked with "21 Return Basic Package" I thought I was clear with her that I just book a room, don't get DDP and buy the Military Salute Tickets. She kept saying that this was a new package and I was fine. Does anyone know what this means?

It means that you got a basic package placeholder since the package pricing is not available yet, normally it would be done year the end of June of this year. There 2 different parts of the reservation system: RO and Packages, each have different rules and payment requirements.

With this new basic package you should have only needed a $200 deposit vs a one night stay payment for a RO booking. Also the time frames are different, packages must be paid for 30 days before arrival and RO bookings are due at check-in.

Do you plan to add a dining plan later? You should still be able to book a true room only (RO) reservation it that is what you really want.,

Thanks Dave. That makes sense since the deposit was $200. Right now I'm not planning to add the DDP. Guess I need to call again and get it switched to a RO.
