Reservation Oddity?

I just called at the 11 month mark to reserve my home resort, OKW. I wanted to reserve a Studio by Hospitality House, for November 28 to (checkout) December 7.
I was told I could only book one week, Nov. 28-Dec. 5, and would have to call January 6 for the remaining 2 days. Is that correct? That didn't happen to me last year when I booked 8 nights.

yes.

you probably didn't call at exactly the 11 month window last year. if you called on friday, you could book all 9 nights...

(edited to add: you could still call friday and have them cancel the last 5 nights and then complete the 9 night reservation if you prefer.)

OK, thanks. Last year I called at exactly 9 am at the 11 month mark. Oh gee, as I write this I now remember, what a doofus LOL... I got disgusted with work and called later to add the extra day.
So in other words, the 11 month mark is only good for 7 day reservations?

now you can call 11 months from check-in and book up to 7 nights.

(several years ago, you would have had to call 11 months from check-out date.)

I remember that. They ended that shortly before I bought. That was insane--I remember people had to call every morning for 7 days!

You don't have to wait until the 6th of January to add those other days. You can call back in a few days from now and simply extend your trip. They will allow you to do this because you are not making a new reservation, but modifying the one you currently have.
