If we have an ADR for 6 people and only 5 show up (my sister doesn't think she wants to go, but knowing her won't decide for sure until the last minute... party pooper) is it a big deal? I would guess no, but just thought I'd ask in case.
Only way it MIGHT be a problem is if you had a credit card guarantee for the reservation. But I am not sure if they charge for one member of the party not showing up, or if they only charge if the whole party skips.
I asked this same question at Guest Relations. I had ADR's for 10. At the previous ADR 3 of the people just did not show up, when contacted by cell phone they declined to join the rest of us. I asked at Guest Relations what to do for the upcoming ADR's since I was fairly sure they would back out again. I was told it is better to keep the others on the reservation. If they do not show up when you check in just change the number of people at that time.
Last week, we had a ressie at Mama Melrose's for 9 but DH felt ill & went back to the room so I just told them that we only had 8 with us when I checked us in as well as told the server when we were seated. It was no problem at all and my DH still had 1 Table Service credit for missing that meal/
