reservation made then loews card arrives.

Ive already booked 3 nights at HRH. Through reading the DIS I discovered the Loews card. I received it today. My reservation does not have any details of me having this card. Do I need to contact reservations in advance to let them know?
Ive never stayed onsite before and Im hoping for an upgrade. I know you cant expect one but I have my fingers crossed?

If I need to contact anyone....do you have the number?

You can just show it when you check in. You don't have to have it on your ressie.

But from reading on here...when people mentioned their card during reservation...they were upgraded then....perhaps I read this wrong?

Only if you are a Platinum member. We are both Blue members.

I already had my Loew's member number when I made my reservations. I just got my card last week also. The only perk I am looking for is free snacks in the room.

Did you book your hotel room via Loews? If so you can call loews and tell them to add it to your account if you'd like it on there now. If you booked it with Universal (UniversalOrlando.com / Univacations.com) you can e-mail them (reservations@universalorlando.com) or call them.

I checked in last Weds. and RPR had me as Blue. She said she would change it to Gold but when I asked for a late check out they gave me 12:30. With Gold you are supposed to get a 3 hour late check out guarantied. They did the same thing on Friday(noon). I actually received my Gold card before the Blue. I think this stay makes me Platinum.
I was told at check in they make the Loews First too easy to join and they are thinking about revising the program.
You can show them the card or give them your number at chek in.
