Reservation help needed

I am planning my first trip for next June. I own at 270 at BLT and 100 AKL. I was going to make a reservation at the 11 month mark and wanted to change it at 7 months if possible. I would like 2 nts MK view BLT than 6 nts SV at AKL but I don't have enough points at 11 months for this. So how should I make the 11 month reservation so I have the least changes at 7 months and still get the most for my points? (I will have 270/100 banked points from 2009 that will have to be used first.)The DVC member home resort policy states that 'If, at a later date, you wish to use Vacation Points from another Disney Vacation Club Resort, you cannot "switch out" the Vacation Points. ' Is this true???? I'm a little confused as to how to make the reservations.

What they mean by the statement of "you can't switch out your points" is referring to changing home resort points that were used at 11 months for non-home resort points.

For example, if you booked 5 nights at BLT at 11 months with your BLT points, you can not call at 11 months, and ask them to free up BLT points and replace them with the AKV points. You can only do this at 7 months if there is still availability for what you want.

As far as your reservation, you have two options. You can book your trip as a split stay at 7 months. Book as many nights with your AKV 110 points that you can and then fill in the rest with the BLT rooms. Since you only want to stay MK view for 2 nights, book that, then book the rest as standard or lake view (whichever you would prefer if you can't trade out at 7 months) at BLT.

Then, at 7 months, try to switch out those other BLT nights for AKV nights.

Or, you can borrow more AKV points to book all 6 nights at AKV at 11 months, use your BLT points book the 2 MK view rooms at BLT, and then bank anything else you won't need.

OK so let me make sure I understand. If I book with borrowed AKL points at the 11 month mark, at the 7 month mark I cannot change those points to BLT points unless a whole other identical room is available. So it is like I am making a different reservation and not just changing the existing. Am I correct??

Yes technically this is what you'd be doing. Same size villa for the dates you initially booked must be available; otherwise the purpose of 11 month priority booking window is meaningless if owners could just swap points from another resort at 7 months.
