reservation confirmation problems

I am good with the old fashioned send in the mail confirmation but think that if you have a system it should work or not be used. I do not believe in halfway doing anything. One problem can be dealt with but there are too many to count when it comes to online reservations from the Disney website and DVC not being in line with each other to reading incorrect information. The two systems need to be truly streamlined not just some of the information.
 
Log on to the member website and check your reservation there. Even though the link in the email confirmation is not working, the member website is still showing my reservations.

If your waitlist has come through you will see it listed under "Upcoming Vacations". Even though you are just adding one more night to an existing trip, it will be displayed as an additional entry in the list of upcoming vacations with a check-in and check-out date for that one night but with the same confirmation number as the rest of your stay. You should also receive a new email confirmation when the WL comes through.

Thanks for the info, Lisa. This VGC reservation I have is using my friend's VGC points, not mine, so I can't see it in my account information. But now I can bring up the reservation again because the system is back up, but it doesn't look like anything has changed. 32 days away...
 

It comes and goes which is the standard for Disney IT, which is the very reason DVC going to online booking, scares me. :scared1:

I was booking a one night stay at a nonDVC resort for the end of our trip and the system went down three times while booking. I never felt like I finished the reservation. Yet when I called the DRC, Yes I had booked three different reservations for the same resort on the same night. She said, "oh that happens alot".

I seriously doubt I will use it.
 
I'm going to WDW for conference next week, and I received an email today with my confirmation information, and nothing was in it. I panicked a little bit (I hadn't seen this thread), so I called the group reservations number. She said that they were making "enhancements" to the system and my reservation was still OK. As soon as she said the word "enhancements" I started laughing and I said "I'm a DVC member and I know what that means when you use that word!" The CM busted out laughing and said that my perceptions were correct. We had a good conversation and giggle about Disney's IT woes.
