Reservation availability

After finally getting all my nights, I still need to try to upgrade a full hook-up to a preferred site for two nights, so we don't have to move. I have been calling once, sometimes twice a day to check for availability. The CM today remembered me. I'm not sure when to call. One CM told me to keep calling, because there is cancellations all the time, and they go into the system immediately. Another, said they all go into the system at 11 pm, and aren't available until 7 am. Does anyone know for sure? I definitely don't want to miss out, because I'm not sure what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for your help.

We had the same problem with our Easter ressies. You could look online at 5am and at 7am it would be something different. Instead of calling all the time I would just look online and when you see something you want book it or call right away.

One trick I did online when I was hunting for my weekend nights in December.

When I looked for just 1 or 2 nights (Fri and Saturday) they were showing no availability, but when I plugged in 3 nights, the availability popped right up.

I booked it online right away, then a few days later called and cancelled Thursday night.

We managed to book a full hook up from December 17 thru the 26. We've been trying to upgrade for 2 months now with no luck. A CM told me that the closer the date, the better the chances.

I have the opposite problem. Have full hook-up for 12/5-12/19 and preferred for 12/19-12/29. I want to stay in full only and need to get rid of the preferred. I was told that once we checked in we'd probably have no problem getting downgraded to full hood-up, as most people want to move up. Just know that I will be there scrambling to down-grade my ressie if anybody is interested in switching with me. I know this would be best done while I am physically AT Fort Wilderness. I really don't trust most of the people at CRO ...... too many past errors.

If you decide to call and try for the full hook-up, then cancel the preferred site, please post and let me know, and I'll call immediately. Wish I could help you out with a trade, but we only have those two nights. When I call to try to change mine, I'll inquire about the full hook-up also and post if there's any available. Also, I'll let you know if I cancel the 23rd & 24th. Hope things work out for both of us. I really don't want to be changing sites on Christmas day.
