Just bought resale at AK, was able to mention a resale listing I saw on a competing site that was $5 less per point, so was surprised when the seller agreed to the lesser offer.

Since I'm retiring in the next few years, I'm planning to book an AK grand villa for my whole gang in my retirement year, including the grandkid(s), by banking and borrowing, so I bought exactly one third of the points I would need for that reservation (assuming no changes in the grid). The other years will be gravy for me and the missus at other DVC resorts.

I owned BW DVC from 1998-2009, so I was having withdrawal.

Onward and upward, I'll see you guys there.

Congratulations. Were you specifically looking for AKV? Just wondering why you didn't go back to BWV.

We loved Boardwalk, but we'll probably plan our trip around the grandkids, so the animals won out. Because we'll have teachers and students in our party of 9-10, and will therefore be there in the summer, I didn't want to have to worry about getting an AK villa at the 7 month window.

Always best to buy where you want to stay, congratulations again.

That's so exciting, welcome back home :)! You can really stretch those points at AKL too!

Great strategy and the GV in Jambo are impressive.

What was the approximate price per point did you pay?

Just curious, while I think I know, what specifically do you mean by "stretch those point"?

The value rooms are an amazing use of points and very hard to book reliably if you are not an owner and using your 11-month advantage :)
