Resale DVC Purchase Time Frame (real time)

Hi all!
Got another attack of addonitis a week ago. It's a real sickness!! (but better than swine flu)

I saw a VWL contract with The Timeshare Store (TTS) that would round off my existing contract perfectly.
It's for 60 points and seller asked $83 per point.

Here's the time-line I am currently in process with:

11/07/09 - Emailed TTS of my $80 per point offer.
11/09/09 - Received email from TTS that offer was accepted; received buyer documents.
11/10/09 - Sent out signed docs and deposit.
11/12/09 - Email from TTS deposit was received and docs were sent to Disney for ROFR.
12/03/09 - Email from TTS that Disney passed on ROFR.
12/08/09 - Received closing documents from ***; mailed out final documents & payment.
12/28/09 - Received email from TTS stating resale purchase has closed.
01/11/10 - Emailed *** that contract is still not showing up in my account.
01/12/10 - Email from *** that contract was posted by DVC on 1/5/10 (still not showing in my account).
01/15/10 - Multiple contacts with TSS, *** and Disney last past couple days - the points are finally in my contract and available for use.

Good luck to you. You and I are in just about the same timeframe. I put an offer in on 50 VWL points on 11/2, and was told it was sent to ROFR on 11/9 Fingers crossed and some pixi dust

Realtor - **** & Jaki @ **********.com
Title Co - Timeshare Title & More, LLC
9/20/09 - Made offer via email
9/21/09 - Rec'd telephone call that offer was accepted
9/22/09 - Rec'd purchase documents & instructions via email
9/23/09 - Faxed signed documents to realtor; FedEx deposit to title company
9/24/09 - Rec'd email from title company that they have deposit
10/17/09 - Rec'd telephone call (Saturday) from Jaki saying we passed ROFR; title company to verify estoppel info; should take about 10 business days
10/30/09 - Rec'd closing documents from title company (10 business days!)
10/30/09 - FedEx'd final payment and signed closing documents to title company
11/11/09 - Rec'd notice from title company that seller is sending signed closing documents
11/17/09 - Rec'd notice from title company that transaction is closed and request forwarded to DVC to transfer deed
11/20/09 - Called Mbr Svcs and we are in the system with all points available. Made reservations for May, 2010! WOOHOO!!
60 days from offer to member - not bad, not bad at all!!
11/30/09 - Received DVC membership card from Disney

You and are are just about on the same time line. I got notice on 12/3 that Disney waived ROFR. I am just waiting for the closing docs so that I can send them back with my final check.
I am hoping to be able to book the VWL for late November into early December next year as my contract has 50 banked points that have to be used by the end of Nov.

I mailed out my closing docs and my check last night, I sent them FedEx over-night. The title office will get them today.
I checked on line for the tracking and FedEx tried to deliver, but the office was closed. Hopefully they will get them later on today. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to book next years trip by the end of this month.

I saw in a post by OKWNutt that their check was rec'd on 12/4, they closed on 12/8 and were in the system and made a reservation on 12/12.
Using that timeframe, if your check was sent on 12/8 and rec'd on say 12/9 then hopefully you will have closed this week and be in the system by this weekend or sometime next week.

Any update on your points? I just got notice today that we closed and my points should be available in 7 days.

No news for mine yet. Seller must be slowing things down.

Hope you don't mind my asking, are you all going through Timeshare Store? I'm about to add on through them and it seems like everyone is happy dealing with them. I'm afraid to write out that big check, so just doing some checking in to ease any possible buyer's remorse, lol. Thanks for posting your timeline, too. It's helpful!

I am using The Timeshare Store which uses Magic Vacation Title. I've used them once before without any issues. I suspect my delay is the seller, not either of them. On the other hand, *** had expected to hear back from seller early last week and *** has not responded since.

It was confirmed by TTS that the seller is the delay. They haven't gotten around to a notary yet.

Well that stinks, you would think that the sellers would want things to move quickly so that they would get their money.

Me too! Now just need to see it in my DVC account so I can make a ressie!!

This one took longer than my first resale purchase but it still beat the 1/5/10 closing deadline nonetheless.
