Resale Dining Discounts

Officially, no. But some have gotten them anyway. Wouldn't count on it. A Disney Visa provides some discount.

Technically not for current resale only buyers. One could do a 25 point add on retail and have all reasonable discount options and access to all events.

But it would be a long, long time until that added up to the cost of that add on. It might never do that.

Nobody can really say with any certainty. The official resale restriction is in "certain" discounts, but those are not enumerated. My opinion is that all owners qualify for dining discounts.

It depends on the discounts and situation. The best way to do this is to plan the add on as part of the purchase process. It also gives future option that may take it away later.

With the exception of Big River Grille I have always had to show my DVC card and ID to the server to get the dining discount. Has anyone tried to show them the white card on their phone (that non qualified resale owners get) to get the dining discount?

I'm here at WDW right now and every time I used the DVC discount for dining, I was asked to show my ID and member card. I bought direct so not sure if that helps.
