Resale Commission Amount

Just curious- approx. how much do you have to pay in commission when reselling a DVC contract?

I paid 10% to TTS last year. I think that is pretty standard.

The last two that I sold were 10%, but they could have gone to 12%.

Not all brokers charge the same so it pays to ask before you sign the contract.

I contacted TTS yesterday. Their normal rate is 12% but they are still currently running a discount at 10%. They also charge a $20 ROFR fee.

Jeez thats expensive! Why not a fixed fee. It cost them the same to sell 25 points as 1000, the work is the same?

There is a few places that I found recently since we are selling one of our contracts.

TTS 10% with a $20.00 ROFR fee
DVC Resales 8% with no ROFR fee

Oops Yes, Resales DVC. I was trying to entertain my 3 year old at the same time and got the words reversed!
