Resale Add on @ VB

I've been thinking about a small (50 point) add on for a while. We have a 150 point contract at BWV. Since we rarely (actually, never) book at the 11 month mark or even the 7 month mark, does anyone see a reason not to buy the cheapest resale property?

Excellent reasoning, however, I would imagine this would be very difficult to find.

While the purchase price may be lowest at VB right now, you might want to take a look at the dues - which will be the biggest expense over time (even surpassing the purchase price). (For 2008, VB dues were $6.04.)

You are correct in considering another resort especially if you don't make reservations until within 7 months.

SSR resale prices are very attractive & many available. Dues are presently $4.21 lowest of all DVC resorts ( not including new BLT ).

Hurricanes?

Thank you all for your quick replies. I appreciate the responses. I'm not 100% convinced that I even need to add on but it just looked to good to pass up.

I had to think twice about the hurricane comment. But if a hurricane caused major damage to the resort, the annual dues would go through the roof.
But then again, hurricanes, tornadoes can happen at WDW.

I'll keep looking....
