Hi there. We have booked our 4th cruise (yippee) for next year. However when we booked there was only the option for 2nd dining. We really wanted the early one as it works much better with our younger children. Are we likely to be able to change this? Or at least request?

Which brings me to my next question ... I emailed to ask if it was possible to put in a request for a room area which we have been in before as we liked it (within the category we paid for etc) and got a very stern, from the book reply that we are not able to make requests of this nature. Is this a new thing? As we were able to request a similar area room the last two trips?

Thanks
Kit

We've always made dining requests, even with a GT room so I would try again and specifically ask them if this is a new policy. I have heard of many people getting their seating times and other requests such as a private table met and ours have always been met as well. With GT rooms they don't take request. They wouldn't even allow us to request an area or floor of the ship. If you booked in the normal fashion you should have been able to choose your room number unless something has changed. All cruise lines allow you to pick your own room with traditional (non-discounted) bookings. I would try again.

If you did not book GTY, IGT, OGT or VGT you are able to actually pick your room. If you booked the cruise yourself you can go online and pick a room or have your TA do it. Get on the waitlist for early dining.
