Requesting your expert opinions on where to buy add on points

I already have 160 at Poly. Love the resort. But, I would like to add on some points. Not sure if I should just buy more points at Poly or a different resort. Ideally, these additional points would get us a couple nights in the bungalows or a one week stay at in a one bedroom elsewhere. So, I'm thinking I need another 150-160 points.

Any advice on what to do or which home resort to buy into is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you're looking at booking Not Studios and Not Bungalows, I would buy the other points elsewhere to get 11-month booking on a 1BR. While 1BRs are the last to book, generally, having the priority sure is nice.

Because you already have a MK-area resort, I'd strongly consider an Epcot resort (BCV or BWV), AKV or a Disney Springs resort, to mix up your access. It really comes down to which resorts speak to you and your style of visit.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm leaning towards BCV. That would require me to buy resale. Do the latest restrictions on resale purchase matter? I am a member since I bought Poly directly, so I guess it wouldn't matter if I added on by resale.

The latest restrictions on resale do not matter.

I would tell you that as a Poly direct owner, for anything save adding on Poly or waiting on C3V at Wilderness Lodge, buy resale. Save your money, get a resort that makes you happy, buy ice cream with your savings.

I'd do somewhere you can and will reserve a 1BR. BCV is fine, BWV will be significantly cheaper if you are OK with standard view rooms and reserve at 11 months out. If you're not going to reserve then anyway, I'd consider SSR instead. AKV will also give you some advantages such as the value rooms. I would not do this retail unless I were going to wait on the new WL resort and for that I'd get a fixed week of some sort.
