Hi, all.

I am thinking about extending my upcoming May vacation by trying to book another resort (not home resorts) for two weekend nights.

I am relatively new to DVC having joined in June of 2005.

I know that what I am asking of you is a matter of opinion, but any insight that you can give me would be most appreciated.

I am considering trying to book at either the BCV, BWV, or SSR.

It's just DW and I, so no kids, however grown they may be, are on this trip.

I am going to list what I like about each resort and am asking you to feel free to respond with other positives that I have missed. Thanks!

BCV
Like Cape May Cafe, Beaches and Cream and the location to Epcot. The pool, although nice, is not high on my interest list.

BWV
Like the concept and location. Don't know much more about this place really.

SSR
Like that it is close to DTD. Can take the water taxi over to it.

That's all.

If I do this, it will be tomorrow, so any timely comments are very welcome. I am not trying to start a flame war with this; each resort has its own merits. I am looking for positives about each resort.

Thanks again.

WDad...I think you like a lot of theming based on your choice of home resorts, so that might come into play.

Every resort is themed, though none of your choices is a "knock you over the head" kind of theming like AKV or VWL. So my comments include the theming aspect:

BCV...Beach theme, laid back and casual. Good location to EPCOT and MGM. Easy access to the Boardwalk restaurants and nightlife, though not quite as convenient as BWV for that.

BWV....Old time Jersey Shore boardwalk theming. A little less casual, though not as upscale as Yacht Club or GF. Good location to EPCOT and MGM. Easiest access to Boardwalk restaurants and nightlife. Great Boardwalk View rooms if that is something you enjoy.

SSR....Saratoga Springs, NY theming of spas and horses. Easy access to DTD and PI restaurants and nightlife. Easiest resort-to-resort access of any DVC by walking over to DTD and taking the bus to any resort. That's good if you want to spend a fair amount of time at other resorts or have ADRs there. SSR is not attached to a resort hotel...that's a positive or negative whichever you prefer. Parking is easy in front of the buildings.

I'm sure you would like any of the resorts. Given your propensity to theming, you might enjoy BWV the best. Can't go wrong though. :)

Thanks, Granny! I'm sure we'll hit all the DVC resorts eventually. I was thinking about BWV as this first choice. Will talk with DW this evening.

For what it's worth....you know how much I love VWL and we own a similarly sized contract at BWV too. :)

May means Epcot's Flower and Garden show, and for me, I always try to get into BCV for that. It's just a tad closer, and the walk over to the presentations and concerts is very quick. Sometimes in May we're there for the gardenias that are so fragrant along the walkways at BCV. BWV has gardenias, but by the pool, and not something I normally walk by.

Thanks for the info, Bobbi! I will definitely take that into consideration.

We got two nights at a boardwalk-view studio in May today. I will try out BCV the next time we do this. Thanks to all who replied.

Congratulations!! You will love the view! The pool slide at BWV is a lot of fun too.

Enjoy the view! We own at BWV, and haven't had BW view yet, but will in June!
