It is now one week after the Shareholder's Meeting in Minneapolis, and as we
continue to wait for the Board of Directors of the Walt Disney Company to
announce the results of their search for a worthy CEO, we (along with
Cast-Members throughout the Company) are trying to exercise all the patience
we can muster. The Board has promised to conduct a search outside of the
Walt Disney Company for the perfect candidate and we must give them enough
trust (with a wary eye, anyway) that they will do just that.
Since one of The Walt Disney Company's CEO's major priorities must
definitely include the welfare of the Cast Members, perhaps it should be the
Cast Members who should aptly assist the Board by reminding them of the
qualities that are needed in a new leader. What is it that you would like to
see in the new Chief Executive Officer?
What objectives would you suggest for a new CEO to carry out in both a
short-term and long-term basis? What is it that you would most like to have
re-instated or restored in various areas of the Company? What personality
traits would you like to see in your new CEO? (For example, would you prefer
someone who is considerate vs. egocentric?) Would you like to have a CEO who
totally respects the integrity of the Disney Legacy as it has been set forth
over the years? We bet you would!
We've said it many times over the course of the year: You are the Walt
Disney Company! And as the bona-fide representatives of the Walt Disney
Company, you have every right to voice your ideas, your thoughts, and your
opinions about what you would like the Board of Directors to consider for
the good of the entire company. Now is the time to speak out... and if you
cannot do it within the Company, you can at least voice your opinions to us.
It is your future we are talking about.

Pulitzer Prize winning author James B. Stewart, "Disney Wars," will convince
you that there are many people who feel exactly the way you do, and there
are several people who have observed many of the situations that you have
experienced, but were afraid to reveal. It's an eye-opening account of the
last decade of the tyranny you have endured, and we hope that you all make
it a point to read it.
So let's get talking, kids. Change is around the corner, and we all need to
assist the Board of Directors to consider only the best for the Cast
Members, Shareholders and Guests of all divisions of the Walt Disney
Company.
