Repositioning cruise San Diego to Vancouver

Hello! We will be going on our first cruise this May on the Wonder. Just wondering if anyone has ideas on what I should expect weather wise? I'm guessing too cool to pack shorts? Will it be too cold the pool? Thank you!

I have done this twice and both times have not worn shorts, but others did. I would bring one pair in case it is warmer than average. With the pool, it will depend - one trip it was too cold north of California to swim, but the other I swam most of the days, including in Seattle.

Thank you? That's helpful to know. I was thinking may need to pack warmer (like sweatshirts), but maybe it's safer to have layers!

I was hoping more might respond for you as we did this twice but its been about 7 years and 8 years, so less current but both of those trips, before our grandson was in school and we could no longer go in May, he was in the pool every single day and the weather was wonderful. We even got lucky in Canada but weather always has a mind of its own, take your swimwear and shorts, hopefully your cruise will be as lucky. BTW, as Southern Californians, we chill easy, happily the weather was just amazing.

I was hoping so too! Thanks for responding! I'm trying to plan ahead all my outfits (Disney themed of course! Lol) and so far they are all sweatshirts and pants. May have to look for some t-shirts and shorts too!

Pacific Northwest weather can be pretty drunk in May. It can either be winter #4, spring #2 or summer #1. As others recommended, I would have at least one set of shorts (just in case) and stuff you can layer (sweatshirts, etc).

We did this cruise in May 2018 (we are from Vancouver). Our day in San Francisco was nice if a bit chilly but our day in Victoria was very warm!! We needed the shorts and were sunning ourselves on the pool deck. So yes, bring one pair of shorts each, you never know ;-)
