Wow enjoy!
OK, so I went to the parks today instead of the weekend to try and avoid larger crowds. Taking a little "beverage" break at the Rose & Crown and wanted to show the screen grabs I took of doing this successfully and have booked six Fast Passes via the Mobile MDE app for today.
...
I don't think that's what's going on. The tap back to choose a different day is just giving him a chance to change the day he's trying to get FPs for. If he decided he wasn't looking for April 30, but wanted May 1st instead, he would tap on the "back" button.Because there is the choice to "Tap Back to Choose a Different Day," the FP section is offering FP selections based on an available "new" ticket entitlement. Good to know because I have extra tickets stored in my MDE!!

Yes, but it's giving that option based on a ticket entitlement. A ticket entitlement opens up a selection of 3 FPs which is different than just a single 4th FP.I don't think that's what's going on. He said in the post he used the three at HS before booking another three.
I will definitely try this in a month!
Eddie has an AP. And he selected 3 new FPs. And he didn't use the back button, he let the system resolve his conflicts.Yes, but it's giving that option based on a ticket entitlement. A ticket entitlement opens up a selection of 3 FPs which is different than just a single 4th FP.
And with extra tickets, not AP, it's best to reassign to phantoms and pre-select 3FPs. A guest with an AP doesn't have that option.
Using FPs in the FP lines does not "use" a ticket entitlement. I researched a number of scenarios for the SDFP thread and pre-booked 3 FPs for MK. Four days before entering MK, I selected 3 SDFPs in Epcot using my MB that was linked to my MDE with the MK FPs. My ticket entitlement remained intact and my 3 MK FPs were not altered at all and I only had 1 ticket entitlement linked to that specific MDE.Does this mean it's only going to work with APs or people who have extra tickets? Like, if you have 7 day passes, and use those first 3 FPs in HS, then book 3 more in Epcot using this "glitch", will it take an additional day of your tickets, so that you'd only have 5 left after that one day? Not that I expect anyone to know this ... just wondering out loud.
The system allowed Eddie to choose 3 FPs because he always has extra ticket entitlements due to his AP.Eddie has an AP. And he selected 3 new FPs. And he didn't use the back button, he let the system resolve his conflicts.

But the system is allowing Eddie to choose a different day; you cannot choose a different day for FP selection if you do not have another/new ticket entitlement.Looking at the screen shots, it doesn't appear that it's based on extra tickets- just that he's going to replace the current selections (that were used this morning at DHS) with new selections (to be used tonight at EP).

That's true, he is. But, from Eddie's screenshot, the FP system would allow him to choose a completely different day based on a ticket entitlement.Just focusing solely on today's FP selections though, it's appearing that he's able to replace what he's used earlier today with new FP's for tonight.
No, I had Epcot FPs four days BEFORE I entered MK and it did not alter anything in my MDE. You would need to read ScrapYap's info in her SDFP thread. By following her thread, after I used my MB in Epcot for a set of 3 SDFP/s, I then had a total of 6 FPs for Epcot. But because I was only researching to report back to the SDFP thread, I canceled the SDFPs and returned them to the system. This seems like a scary though. It sounds like you are suggesting that if you book 3 more on the app that maybe you could lose one of the days on your passes? Or could it affect fastpasses for another day? That wouldn't be worth it.
I know you responded to my the 1st quote here, but I am confused by this. It sounds like you booked FPs for MK and then booked for Epcot for the same day? How is that possible? So, you had 6 FP for the same day before even arriving at the parks? I really hope this does work. Just being able to bypass the kiosk would be great, and we love to park hop, but I wouldn't want to mess up all the fastpasses I stayed up to book for our trip last night! boy, would that be a waste of the lack of sleep I got!
