Report Card Day!!!

I've got one kid who made the honor roll and is getting a reward and one kid who is now grounded and lost cell phone privileges.

Any bets as to which kid goes with which reward/punishment?

Has anybody else gotten report cards yet?

Congrats to DS! :cheer2: :cheer2:

8th grader = 4.0! She got an e-mail yesterday telling her that, she was happy!

5th grader should be getting hers soon, probably looking at A's and B's... but we'll see!

K- he should be getting his report shortly too..... no worries there, he should probably just go into 1st.

3 year old, only wishes that she went to school... maybe I will have to make her her own report card something that tells her to stop whinning!!

No report card for DGD yet - which I think is kind of odd because the parent/teacher conference is tomorrow..

Don't they usually have them "after" the report card comes out? :confused3 I know that's the way it was when my kids were in school..

DD the suck up 4th grader got yet another perfect report card on Friday. I took a picture of it with my phone and sent it to DS the "average" Freshman college student;)

Got DD's in the mail on Sat. 3.292 = B honor roll!!! She is in 7th grade (2nd year of middle school) and her goal is to make the B honor roll all 4 qtrs. Her reward.....we will cave in and get her a cell phone.

We normally have all grades, etc on-line. I love it because we can track daily her progress and grades on assignments. However, this year they are converting to a new program. It still isn't up and running correctly so for the
1st qtr I had NO CLUE how she was doing. I was afraid because she is never bringing homework home. That is weird for 7th grade! :confused3 Well, evidently, she is actually doing it in school instead of screwing around. She does have a good set of jabber jaws like her mama!! :lmao:

Last year she didn't make the honor roll until last qtr. We discovered it was due to a friend that she was hanging around. Needless to say, they are no longer friends! ;)

Aww, that's so sweet! I think we started out giving monetary rewards for A grades, but then I had to stipulate that it was in academic classes (uh, sorry, not giving money for a D in reading but an A in cooking). :P Then at one point in middle school, I'd promised DS that I'd give him money if he would get on the honor roll -- completely forgot about it because he never did get on the honor roll. Last night I was looking over his report card and he had a big grin on his face and I said "OMG! Honor roll!" and he reminded me about the money.

I always knew he was capable. I so badly want to go back to a few certain administrators and rub it in their faces. ;)
Aw Mushy, that is great, good for him. DS once tried to collect for an A in homeroom:lmao:

My DS's first ever 4.0 was the final semester of his Sr. Year of high school - he only had 4 classes, but still;) there is hope

DS will be getting 2 D's this marking period. Alot better than this time last year when I swore he was doing his best to repeat the 9th grade.
If he doesnt pull those up by this semesters end, he will not be getting his learner's permit. In fact, he wont be learning to drive at all if his grades stay in the crapper. He may be the only 12th grader still riding the bus.:sad2:

my 14 y.o is in High School Honors classes and has a 4.3 GPA...yes it is higher at his charter school in honors. All A+ are 4.3 and B's are 4.0 he does his work without any help....so nice...

Than there's my 11 y.o who is in 7th....gets A's and B's and will make honors but UHG....I have to sit with him to be sure he does it and does it right...or he will put any answer to just say he did it....it takes like 3 hrs to get one page done with him sitting at his desk...

First he needs a drink, than he has to go the bathroom, than he is cold and needs a hot shower, next he has a headache and needs to rest his eyes, than he has a bad itch that I need to scratch.....

So 2 could never be sooooo different when it comes to homework :rotfl2:
