It is my understanding that Disney is opening in phases with 6/22 being the first phase, which includes DVC and Fort Wilderness. Does phase two begin on 7/11 when MK and AK open?

Of course I have no idea what Disney will be doing, but it is hard for me to imagine that on 7/11 additional resorts, or least the non-DVC portion of Deluxe resorts, won’t be open.

I am trying not to make vacation decisions based on the current information we have with what restaurants will be open etc... since maybe by 7/11 additional openings of restaurants and resorts may be occurring.

Does anyone else think by 7/11 more resorts will be open?

I think by 7/11 more resorts, or at least the non DVC portion of the DVC resorts would have to open. And rumor has it they will.

Also, according to rumors we should hear more about that and the reservation system by the end of the week. Fingers crossed.

I'd guess it's going to be determined by park reservations. I can't imagine them opening other resorts until they gauge how many DVC resort guests reserve days in the park with the reduced capacity.

my TA told me that on her group call the Disney rep said that there is currently no timeline for phases. They’re not following the state of Florida phases, they have their own phases. no way to know )-:

I have a stay booked June 28-July 3rd, POP. I was just waiting for Disney to cancel it. But yesterday, I got an email about my reservation and the email asked me to choose one of three options, (1) I plan to come, (2) I plan to modify reservation, (3) I plan to cancel. And the email stated I have until June 12 to make my selection. So, I guess Disney sent these out to all people listed with resort stays in July that were already booked to get an estimate on how many people will be there. Maybe to figure out how many resorts they need to open. It says I have to call to modify the reservation. They only listed the FW and the Disney Villa Club resorts in the details about what to expect.

Yes, reservations with check-in dates from mid June (can't remember the exact date) and 7/4 are being sent those e-mails and asked to confirm, cancel or modify. If you modify your dates you will have to choose a DVC resort or Fort Wilderness and pay the different. If you confirm that you still want to come, they will move you to a room in a DVC resort. Don't let a CM tell you that they can't move you because your resort is closed, I have heard reports of that happening.

I decided to move my dates in the hopes that the parks will all be open and more rides available than just going during my same dates, with no parks open. I called yesterday and modified my existing reservation from POP five nights June 28 to July 3rd, Free dining and Park hopper tickets to November 8 -13 at Fort Wilderness cabins, same number of nights, 5 day tickets no park hoppers and no dining for about what I had originally booked at. I could only book Fort Wilderness or one of the other DVC resorts. And Old Key West Studio would have been about the same. And I only had to wait on the phone for about fifteen minutes before I was able to talk to a CM.

I am bummed I lost out of free dining and the park hoppers, but am now booked for a cabin which I have always thought would be fun to stay in. I am not sure what the rack rate would be for it since I can't check prices now.

mousesavers .com has all rack rates per all seasons fyi.

I don’t think all resorts will be opening right after July 11. I think most all reservations through sept will go through some drastic changes
