Renting thru Tug - Vistana Resort

Hi!

Could someone please explain how reservations work when using an owner thru Tug? How do I know I'm not going to get screwed? What are some do's and don'ts? What do I need to ask? What should I request? How does payment work?

What is the best section to stay in? What are the newer sections? What type of unit should I be looking for? What is a lockout? Can I get a non smoking unit? Where are the good pools - which section? Is there a pool side bar?

ANY info would be a great help!!!

One more question:

If the renter on Tug is asking for $800 - is that what I'm going to pay - or will there be other charges like at a hotel - hotel tax, other charges, etc.?

you $800 is what you will pay

the owner should send you proof of ownership - or a phone number of Vistana that you can call to make sure he owns what he says he owns.
