Renting Pts at VGF2

We have rented pts to stay at DVC studios the last couple years and are hoping to rent again for Xxxxxx (details removed) Previously, I read that renting pts at VGF was nearly impossible, but I wondered if it will be easier now since there will be so many studios at Big Pine Key. On the other hand, I also realize that it is new and exciting. What do y'all think? Our other choice is to rent at BCV and we would hate to be on the waitlist for a GF studio that may never come available and lose BCV.

I think you’ll easily find someone to rent you VGF points. Even the board here I’ve seen offers of points at Grand Floridian recently.

I just rented points for the new studios at GFV. I noticed them available for most of September and had my confirmation within 24 hours.

Thank you both! Because we will be booking at 11 months out, I know that we will need an owner at GF. The new rooms just look beautiful and it's been year since we stayed at GF.

I removed dates so it didn’t seem like a rental request. But, with more rooms added, I think that there is a good chance there will be availability in those rooms !

Thanks, I didn't realize. I do worry that it's easy now, but that it will be harder to find a new owner willing to rent their points at 11 months out (we generally rent from the two main brokers). But I am encouraged that y'all think it will be possible! I hated to get everyone's hopes up prematurely. But the Poly is normally easy to get as they have a lot of studios too

The original VGF building has 47 deluxe studios, BPK will add 202 resort studios when sold out (presently 101 are declared and available for points bookings,) thus it should be much easier to get a resort studio in the BPK building compared to the original VGF building.

I rented out points at VGF2, for an Oct stay, from an open listing request on the board's sponsor site. As long as there is availability and a member wanting to rent out, then it can happen.
