You can go to the rent/trade board and post on a points for rent thread. You may have to be fairly lucky to get anything in October now.

Yes...rent/trade board. Late October is the Food & Wine Fest so DVC fills up especially BWV and BCV.

I have found additional points on the rent/trade board. Have always been very successful. I agree with the pp, the major problem will be getting the reservation you want. Not only F&W Fest, but Mickey's not so scary Halloween.

We rented for the 1st time about a month ago. Since we were looking on TSS for a resale, we opted to go through them (they had expiring points that needed rented). It was a pretty painless process.

You could also inquire with David's Rentals. They are a sponsor on this board and I have good luck with them - although this October would be a tough one.
