Renting is a private transaction between a renter and a DVC owner - thus, everything is negotiable.

That said, most owners charge a price per point and that's it. There is no tax (as there is if you book directly through Disney). Some owners may ask you to pay an additonal fee if you insist on using a credit card via paypal.

If a renter wants to add the Dining Plan, the owner will call to add it to the DVC reservation, but the renter pays for it at check in.

Thank you for replying. In the meantime, she explained to me why she was charging me more One of the days in the middle of my reservation was sold out.

So me *as the renter* would pay for the DDP at time of check in(?) Not when booking the reservation through the owner?

That is correct. The owner will put in your reservation for the DDP and you will pay for it at the front desk when you check in. Have a great trip!

So did the owner book it as a cash night through member services? Otherwise, if it is a night on points, it doesn't make sense.

I hope you are not refused the room when you can't show the blue member card. You better confirm with the member what was done for the missing night. Maybe you are moving to a different room for that night with higher cost.
