We are renting points at VWL through a DVC owner. Can someone clarify what perks we will/will not get such as valet parking, internet, dining discount etc. I have read conflicting info. Thanks.

You'll get all the perks of staying at a WDW resort - use of DME, access to EMH, the dining plan, ability to send packages back to your resort, charging on your room key, free parking at the theme parks.

The DVC perks like dining discounts, valet parking, etc., are only intended for members. Your room key will probably say 'DVC member', since the member owns your reservation, but I've found that in most cases, I'm asked to present my DVC membership card if I try to use the perks or discounts. You may be able to sneak by if a careless CM just looks at your room key and doesn't ask for the card, but be prepared to be turned down a lot.

Unless you are the guest of the member staying with the member, you are not entitled to any DVC member perks. And then, in that case, you are limited in what you may get.

These are member perks.

The big advantage of renting is the cost-saving you make. Think of the other perks (discounted dining, valet parking etc) as a reward to members for buying into DVC. Have a great trip :thumbsup2

For discounts here lately, we've been asked for our blue membership card. So I wouldn't count on the member discounts if you can't show the card.
