What was the average price per rental back in the day

2 years ago I paid $14 through Daddio, first time renting and wanted to be sure. Would never reccomend paying this pp again. He did a great service but not for a 30% premium

Last Year I paid $12 pp

This year I paid $11pp

Now I consistitently see $10pp

What was the rental market like say 5 years ago? 10 years ago?

Trying to decide on weather or not to keep renting or just to buy but wanted to get some historical perspective on the rental pp

Any feedback greatly appreciated

I rented points as far back as late 95 or early 96. I've never gotten less than $10 a point for a DVC reservation. There was a fairly large dip after 9/11, but otherwise it's hovered from generally at $10 per point to $12-13 per point until recently for obvious reasons. There are exceptions which are usually short notice distress points or at times, someone who isn't that interested in getting full value as a 1 time event.
