renting points and room location

Hi,

We're renting points for 2 nights at SSR. If we would like to request a room location ( which I know is not guaranteed), do we need to have the owner request the location or once we have the confirmation number can we call and request the room location. Also what location is best to be near a pool and near the boat launch or walkway to downtown disney?

You would need to contact the owner and have them add the request on the reservation.

The member you are renting from should be able to advise you on locations at SSR.

If you don't want to go through the person you rented from, you can wait until a day or two before you check-in, and call the resort directly. By then, they will be able to "see" your reservation, and you can attach a request to it. We did this when renting at BWV last year, and received our request (near the elevators).

Never stayed at SSR, so I can't give advice there.

Congress Park is close to the DTD Walkway, has a quiet pool and (if you're lucky) great views of DTD. Just requesting Congress Park location does not guarantee a DTD view as we discovered last time(rats!). Enjoy!

Thanks everyone. I will be in touch with the owner again as he is going to add the dining plan on for us. I will have him request Congress Park, with downtown disney view if possible.
